When something is found in the thyroid, the endocrinologist manages the hormonal side and the surgeon decides what to do with the nodule: monitor it, treat it with ablation or operate. Dr. Jacobo is a surgical oncologist focused on thyroid interventions, and works alongside your endocrinologist, who remains in charge of the hormonal side.
