The contents of this site are general information about thyroid disease and surgical oncology. They are not a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation for your case: that can only be given at a consultation, with your studies. If you have an emergency, go to an emergency service.

Clinical figures shown (nodule reduction, risks, timelines) come from medical society guidelines or the literature cited, and describe results in populations, not a promise for one person. No treatment has a guaranteed outcome.

Prices and coverage

Prices shown are indicative, in U.S. dollars, «from», and depend on the case and the center. The price that counts is the one given in writing before you decide. This site makes no claim of coverage by any insurer: coverage, if any, is confirmed by your insurer in writing.

Site tools

The «Am I a candidate?» questionnaire gives guidance based on published criteria. It does not store your answers and does not replace the doctor's evaluation. The evaluation form and the links to WhatsApp and the booking engine are ways to contact the office, and sending them commits you to nothing and carries no charge. The virtual consultation is paid in the booking engine when you book it.

Reviews and third-party content

The reviews shown are a selection of those published by patients on the doctor's Google profile, reproduced unedited. All of them can be read on Google. Linked press articles and institutional notes belong to their authors, and the site links to the original source.

Intellectual property and use

Texts, illustrations, icons, videos and the design of this site belong to Dr. Joan Javier Jacobo R. or their authors, and may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without permission. You may share links freely. Using the site or its forms for unlawful purposes, bulk sending or impersonation is prohibited.

Liability, law and changes

The site is offered as is. Care is taken to keep information current, but the absence of errors and permanent availability are not guaranteed. These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic and any dispute is submitted to its courts. They may change, and the current version is the one published here, dated at the bottom.
